Sally Salvati is passionate about helping Australians to be confident selling their stuff online. With a background in web design, magazine publication and financial planning, Sally now works as a freelance editor.
As a self-confessed guru of online selling, Sally has been shopping online since 2001 and continues to explore new ways to buy and sell items easily and efficiently, while constantly adapting and updating her skills using eBay, Gumtree, and Facebook Marketplace.
With a love of interior decorating and a desire to be different, Sally tends to avoid the mainstream furniture stores preferring to breathe new life into something someone else no longer needs. She enjoys bringing preloved furniture items back to life, often repurposing them. Not only does this give her a great sense of accomplishment, but it is also good for the environment, reducing the amount of usable items that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Sally has discovered an unexpected benefit when buying and selling online locally is meeting new people and often finding out a little bit about the history of the item(s) you are buying. It is a far more personal experience than buying off the shelf.
Sally grew up in the UK and moved to Australia in 1996. She now lives in Brisbane with her two boys in a warm and welcoming home full of items purchased from eBay, Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace.
